Sarsfield Carnival
This year, the Sarsfield Community Association is offering two new activities at the Carnival: a pancake breakfast and mini Olympics.
9:00–10:00 a.m.
Pancake breakfast ($5/person or $10/family)
10:30 a.m.
Registration for the curling tournament ($5 per participant)
The tournament will start at 11:00 a.m. and end around 5:00 p.m.
Teams of 4 people. Form your team in advance or join a team on site that morning.
Prize: the winning team will receive 50% of the registration fees.
12:00 p.m.
Chili and dessert contests and community lunch ($)
Bring a chili or a dessert and eat lunch for free.
Registration starts at 11:00 a.m.
Please bring your chili in a slow cooker to keep it warm.
Prizes will be awarded for both contests.
Community lunch participants will vote for the best chili and the best dessert.
2:00 p.m.
Mini Olympics for children 12 years old and under
Children will take part in four fun winter games. Two teams will compete.
Who will be Sarsfield’s very first mini Olympic athletes?
3:00 p.m.
Mini King and Mini Queen of Sarsfield contest (ages 10 and under)
Find the hidden Bonhomme Carnival in the community centre for a chance to be crowned for the day.

Drive-through format
The Sarsfield Community Association invites you to bring non-perishable food items or a cash donation to the Sarsfield Community Centre. Santa Claus will thank you.
Members of your community are counting on your generosity during these difficult times: one in every 4 Canadian is food insecure. All donations will go to the Orléans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre and be redistributed in the region.
Most needed items:
- Cereals
- Canned fruits or vegetables
- Peanut butter
- Tomato and apple juice
- Pasta sauce and dry pasta
- Canned meat (ham, salmon, tuna, turkey and chicken)
- Flour, sugar and rice
- Cookies and crackers
- Condiments
- Chickpeas and kidney beans
- Snacks for school (granola bars, juice boxes and fruit cups)
- Dry cake mix, brownie mix and icing
- Gluten free products
- Soap, shampoo and toothpaste
- Tampons and sanitary napkins
- Baby formula and food
- Diapers and training pants (any size)
Soup Potluck: A First in Sarsfield!
Got a favorite soup? Bring it to the community center between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and share it with your neighbors! Bring your soup in a slow cooker, taste everyone else’s creations, and enjoy some warm community spirit. To help keep everyone safe, please bring a copy of your recipe or a list of ingredients.
Donations in cash or cheques:
A receipt will be issued for all donations of $20 or more.
